Michigan Stadium's capacity set at 109,901 (AP) - Wed, 14 Jul 2010
The University of Michigan made a lot of changes to the Big House, erecting luxury boxes and club seats in towering structures that loom along both sidelines as part of a $226 million renovation. It also increased the seating capacity to 109,901 for this season -- up about 2,000 -- to reclaim the distinction away from Penn State of having the largest football stadium in the country.

Brad Labadie has resigned as director of football operations at Michigan, saying the move is unrelated to an ongoing NCAA investigation into the storied program. Labadie and coach Rich Rodriguez were among the seven people who received a letter of reprimand from the school for playing a role in what the NCAA says were major rules violations.

Ex-UM coach Carr stepping down as associate AD (AP) - Tue, 13 Jul 2010
Lloyd Carr, who led Michigan to the national football championship in 1997 and five Big ten titles, is stepping down as the Wolverines' associate athletic director Sept. 1. Carr, 64, coached Michigan's football team in 1995-2008. His teams had a record of 122-40 (81-23 Big Ten). "I am thankful for the wonderful opportunity to assist two great coaches here," Carr said Tuesday.
